A Crazy Three Days!!!!

So I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but having five kids in Hong Kong is pretty rare and things around here aren't usually coordinated for those of us who have larger families.  We have gotten all kinds of reactions, but I can share those later.  The reason I mention it is that I had the privilege of being able to attend three class Christmas parties, one nativity performance, one pancake breakfast and one chapel in the last three days.  I call it a privilege because I am blessed to be the mom of some amazing kiddos and I love going to support them.  But, it was truly amazing that none of these activities overlapped and that the Lord gave me the strength and the will to persevere and make it to all of them...yes, some mommy guilt was mixed in with the adrenaline of knowing we have a long break ahead of us.  Here is an example of just my day today:

Wake up at 5:45am to get a shower before everyone gets up...wake the older four up, and get Grace, Josh and Emma out the door by 6:45am

Wake Sarah up at 7am, feed her and leave by 7:15am to take Abby to catch her bus...leaving Sarah at home with our helper.

Take the shuttle and the train to Abby's stop so she can catch the bus by 7:50am

Catch a taxi from Abby's stop to go to the older three's school campus...a 10 minute trip

Help prepare a pancake breakfast for about 80 third grade students and some staff

Leave at 10ish, catch a taxi from the kids' school to home...about a 25 minute ride.

Get home, grab a granola bar, feed Sarah, check in with our helper and leave by 10:45am to pick up Abby.

Take the shuttle and train to Abby's stop, bus drops her off around 11:35am

Catch another taxi with Abby to the older kids' school

Arrive in time for Emma's class lunch/Christmas party/presentation

Leave the kids' school to go home by taxi at 2:00pm

Stop at McD's for Andy's lunch (he didn't get to the school in time for lunch)

Get home at 2:30...feed Sarah and take a nap.

This has been my routine the last few days...but we are blessed to have a helper (get to that in a later post) and that the Lord gave me the energy to support my kids.  I think with the recent events, it just encouraged me to do the best I could to be there...and their faces when I arrive are priceless!

The other thing I didn't mention was that in true Puff style, I had not even started to pack for our trip home to the states...where we leave tomorrow morning at 7am. So guess what I have been doing since my nap?!!! But I am happy to report that I am just about done, my children are asleep (challenging for them since they are so excited) and I am just taking a little break to record the events of the last few days. Praying for a smooth 15 hour plane ride with the whole family...a first for us!!!
